Here’s a question, how long do you think it’ll take you before you give up those desires you were supposed to leave behind in 2017? Is there an expiration date on the strength He gave you to get it done? Did He not inform you of the greater that waits ahead? Is that why you feel the need to hold on to old stuff when the new is trying to make its way in? I mean tell me, let me know what’s really going on. I knooowwww that thing is killing you. It’s poison, toxic, rotten, gone sour that’s why you were gonna throw it away in the first place. Can’t you see that it’s holding you captive or do you not care anymore? You done got comfortable and now it’s really not so bad and it kinda feels like home. It’s just sucking you deeper and deeper into that hole and really you not comfortable but you done got so deep in it that really you can’t see your way out. Yea I know, me too. BUT IT’S FLESH!!! AND FLESH HAS TO DIE!!! SO WE GOTTA STOP FEEDING IT!!! Allowing it to grow and become strong, to the point where soon it won’t be as simple as getting up and walking away, if it is that simple anymore. You’re dead if you stay with it though, just know that. Don’t think this is just about the simple stuff, you have to eject yourself from the World and really wholeheartedly12 tune into God. Uprooting and planting ourselves firmly so that we will forever remain in the Purpose of our God. Focusing on the minors that we have made major so that we can see clearly again. Annihilating our flesh so that our Spirit can rise with God in full control.

But thinking that process would be easy is delusional on our part. Many may fall short as soon as the process begins, the craving will be waiting. Smacking you right in the face with its presence like never before. And so many of us will give in, giving the excuse that you have to ease in to stuff or gradually move away. That coming to a full switch off the bat is impossible and way to much for our brains to comprehend at one time. But that’s why we are not to lean to our own understanding and place our strength in His. Because on our own we are too weak and we may not be strong enough to but if you make it His weight and not yours things become easier. Yes you may have faults and mess up but that’s ok as long as you keep striving to live upright before Him. He reads our hearts so He knows better than anyone when we are really trying our best to follow Him and giving Him our all. As well as when we are just faking it trying to finesse the system God has set in place, but how do you out maneuver a God who knows and sees everything? I mean really let's think about this. You have to really be committed to this thing, because desires are things we hold dear to our heart, and we are to have them. They should just be after His own heart and not what we think we should have and what we believe we deserve. Because His plans for us are so great how can we desire more for us than Him.

That is why we must seek Him first in all things we do so that we are not in pursuit of the wrong things. Trust Him to guide your steps on the path He has set for you. Allow Him to be that light unto your feet and the lamp unto your path. Give God the chance to truly be God in your life and see if things don’t change (they will this really was like a trick question). I mean you or that desire have been running things so long you know you gonna need help learning how to regroup and function again. So what can it hurt to allow God who stopped the pursuit in the first place to hold the reigns. He alone is the only one who can lead you to your Purpose where Destiny awaits. Just trust, that’s the first step after acknowledgement of course so believe in Him to steer you right. Desire can no longer run us, we have to murder our Flesh and say to it, “You can no longer dictate to me my actions.” We have to regain control and the following step is to give it to God because truthfully of your own free will we’ll mess it up so we must cling to His strength and stay consistent with rising up against those things within ourselves that come against us. Leaving it all behind in Faith knowing that this process God has us going through is for the greater good.
